We design, care for and teach others how to create nurturing green spaces of all shapes and sizes.
We specialise in designing gorgeous green spaces that do more than just look good, they nourish people and places.
We've designed and/or created a range of both public and private green spaces including a new relaxation garden for one of the UKs biggest social housing providers, designs for two new urban gardens on an estate in Cambridgeshire, and community gardens in Cornwall, Devon, Sussex and Hertfordshire as well as a number of private gardens.
Design services available: Information/Advice consultations, Sketch Designs and planting schemes.
Design-related Qualifications: Permaculture Design Course, RHS Design (Level 2) and over 10 years of experience, designing gardens and community spaces for private clients and employers.
Whether it's help with a whole garden or a border thats become a bit unruly, green spaces big and small can need some nurturing at times and that's where we come in. With over 14 years of combined professional experience managing large-scale landscapes, historic gardens, public and private green spaces from hotels to private estates, community and residential gardens, we've trimmed, tidied and transformed them all!
Garden care services available:
Lawns, hedges, trees, paths, planting, specialist pruning, soil testing, care and development, organic weed/pest control systems, propagation.
We're passionate about inspiring people of all ages and abilities about plants (from the garden and the wild!), their health and well-being benefits and the wider natural world.
Training/Education services available:
We can offer bespoke training sessions, workshops and talks for individuals, community groups or schools. Here's a flavour of recent workshops and courses we've run:
- 'How Plants Grow' @ Knebworth House (2015-17). Horticulture programmes for children aged 5-10yrs.
- 'Sprouting Out' @ 5 homeless shelters across Hertfordshire. (2015 - 2016). 6-month grow it, cook it, eat it programmes.
- Range of talks and workshops for the WI and local gardening societies and regular garden tours at National Trust.
Teacher/Trainer related Qualifications: BSc in Zoology with Conservation, MPhil in Sustainable Development, RHS in Horticulture Level 2, City & Guilds in Education & Training (Level 3), Woodland Trust Tree ID course, Full First-Aid in the Workplace, Horticultural Therapy Course (Thrive), DBS checked.
